OUR HOUSE

This is our future home in Greenhills, near Omaui, Southland. its 15 mins to Invercargill and work and today even though the weather was against us - as it was raining, we went to the farm to check out the property in more detail.

We sign the papers on Monday, and the present owners were moving out and had said that they would show us how to work the water tanks, electric fences and show us the bounderys etc.

This is a view of the house from one of the paddocks.

This is the back of the house, looking at the garage and side of the house.

This is a picture looking out from the conservatory.

These boulders are at the back of the far paddock, they will eventually be dragged over to the garden or Pond.

At one of the fence boundery's there was a cute neighbour........

Look Cole its a "real" pet "Sheepie"

These pictures are of the garden surounding the house.

We aquired the resident animal population with the house as well, these included.....

Jasmine, a 6 year old 15hh standard bread mare, who looked like she would rather be in a stable today!

Jesterdale, a 17hh ex trotter, who has apparently won $60,000 in his past - we have a video that the owners have left for us to watch - now all we need is a video machine!...oops! we have a Dvd recorder???

This is one of the cats, his name is Oscar, he looks a bit like Tommy but with a white mouth.

We also have aquired various chooks, a duck and a 1 footed turkey....here turkey turkey......(nah wont be eating him honest).

The total price that we paid for the 8+ acre farm plus animals and various farm bits and pieces was $239,000.

Which we thought was a fair price, for a 4 bedroomed, insulated brick house with multifuel burner, New kitchen/bathroom (pictures to come after I have moved in) a computer room (although its not been plastered!) both tank and town supplied water, septic tank, Double garage and workshop, various farm buildings and fully electric fenced paddocks.

It give us a base to turn it into our dream home, so watch this space as we take our first steps as Land Owners!

should be a good read don't you think!

Kat and Bob...Landed Gentry (nah who are we kiddin, more like Darlin buds of may!)
