NW Meet at Mascrat Manor- Warrington

On Saturday we went to the forum Meet at Mascrat Manor, Juntion 21 on M6 it took us 2.30 hrs to get there but it was worth it to get to meet the people I have come to see as comrades and friends in the journey to NZ.
Kim39 and his wife Elaine were there to sign the flag, as they are flying out on Wednesday.

We all had a good time getting to know each other, catching up with the ones we had met at the Expo and getting tips from those who had already passed the stage we are at in our ITA application.

Kim signing the flag......can't wait till its our turn!

House sold & we move into Hotel MIL

Well its nearly the end of October, we sold our house and moved out on the 21st October. The saddest part was emptying the fish pond, had to quickly find a home for my fish and then empty the pond.....luckly we didn't need to fill the hole in!
packing was a nightmare, and considering we have a few months to go - well nearly 9mths! till we fly out to NZ we have managed to fit ourselves into my OH mum & dads house, including our cat Tommy!

Most of our furniture we have given to our daughter, Rachel for her first house. But I will still have some boxes to check through and decide what I really want to take with us.

well thats enough for this post.....

My 40th!

Well I had my 40th but with moving and everything I can't say I made much of a big deal about it, we went out for a meal with my family......after I had spent most of my day at work, pushing the sale through...the solicitors were no help, losing paperwork etc, but in the end I got it through to completion, for moving out on the 21st.

So anyway here are a few pics

Rachel my daughter and her partner Rich

Jack (my nephew) the napkin highway robber!

Well the food was good, and everyone had a good time.....

And how many have you had Paul?..... Peace Man!!

well till next time. Good night.....they say Life begins at 40! hopefully 41 will arrive on the other side of the world!

we have a date

Well what a shock - we complete on the 21st! I am in a dither and my head wont stop spinning I have started to pack but don't seem to be gettting anywhere!
We were going to the Manchester Expo on the 22nd so I guess we will have to move out a day before - as I am not missing it!

Its my Birthday on the 19th so I guess I will be a bit preoccupied to take any notice of it but I will at least get a decent meal!

till next time

The start

Well this is my first ever blog so heres where we have got to so far:

We applied to go to New Zealand, and we were "Invited to Apply". We have got almost everything that we need to submit with the application and are awaiting the return of our Medical forms which should arrive next week.

We have found a buyer for our little abode, the surveyor came on 20th September and the buyers are in a relatively small chain :-)

I have cleared the loft of junk and the rest is sitting in my dining room for sorting/scanning and chucking or packing. (this is a momentous task as I kept everything that my 3 kids ever drew, made or gave me)

I am waiting for a call from the estate agents to give me an idea of a moving date, as there has been relatively no contact from the solicitors dealing with the sale - I am trying not to be negative! As we are moving in with my Mam & dad -in-laws we are the end of the chain! Yippee!

When I have a date I can really start to sort out the house, but at the minute I have everything on hold and its driving me crazy.

So thats where we are so far.....till next time... bye
