BBQ Season has started.....

Hi All, well it has been sunny for a few days so you know what that means.....Yes it's BBQ time!

Sunday
is the only day that all our family are off work (shifts!) so we are getting together and will pray that the weather holds fine for the day....... so watch this space.......

heres a pic of one of the BBQ's we had last year.........would you believe that all that planting
has gone!

The new owners have taken up all the plants, cut down all the shrubs (my magnolia tree, wisteria the lot...there was about £1000 of plants and then there was 2tne of shingle) and thats not including the pond plants that we had to get Rid of before the sale :-( )

Oh well, I can't wait to get to New Zealand and find a new home and then I can start our new garden.....

and have a NZ BBQ!.......well heres hoping for some sunshine tomorrow!

I will post some piccys of it soon

The Spirit of the Horse show

On Thursday I went with my mum, dad, sister Justine and Rachel to Louth to see 'The spirit of the Horse' show...(it is my mums and Justines birthday next week)

http://www.equestriantheatre.co.uk/

it was a good show, we went all wrapped up...Justine had 3 jumpers, coat, hat and a blanket, hot soup...as she has been to shows in tents before and nearly got hypothermia....this one had Hot air blowers (played havoc on our throats)....so the layers came off one by one....but the soup was nice.... ;-)

My favorite part was the comedic horse 'Scout'...pictured hear, his act was hillarious, it may have cost a bit but it was nice to go out with my family and see something we are all interested in.....I want an Andalusian!! (I wonder if they have them in NZ?).....always have after riding a stallion for a friend years back, they are such a beautiful horse to ride!

The other acts were good too, and we went back into the stables to have a look too.

The big sort out

Well I am now off work, I now have to sort out our belongings, sell, give away or send to New Zealand. It will be a funny walk down memory lane thats for sure.

Mmmm Tommy I don't think you fit into that box!

;-) he he ....unfortunately we are leaving Tommy in the UK, it seems unfair to put him through the trauma of a 24+ air flight and also quarentine.
But Rachels happy he's staying and hes settled at Dots.....But I will miss him terribly. :-(

Last Day at work

Well Friday was my last day at work, and I must say it was hectic.

Although they have my numbers, so if they need to ask anything, the can just ring. (mmm?)

We all went out for lunch, which was a nice touch, and I got a bunch of flowers from Kevin & Peter, the girls bought me a 'Good Luck' me to you bear (the grey scraggy ones) and cards...

I will miss them all and I enjoyed working with them all.

Then I went out with Ang,Kai, Karen and Rob on Friday nite....went to Karen's on the Saturday and Rachel & Rich and Cole popped in too.....had a good weekend of take outs and booze as according to Rob, we are on an 8 week fitness campagin.....so I had to get my allowance of alcohol in before Monday ;-)
