ASTEK ABSOLUT

Hi Everyone, this post is for Rachel, here are the pictures of her new babie/s arrival
Astek Absolut (Abi for short) arrived 8pm on the 7th Jan. She is full thoroughbred, and very well behaved, sweet and friendly.

Bet you can't wait to meet her in the flesh Rachel - but for now I will send u videos and pics

The Truck arrives - although I don't think the package its carrying will fit in the postbox (to the left is where all our post arrives)

She had lots of room and walked down with no fear, she went up onto the box first time - having never been on a big truck before, and the Driver Jason said she travelled very well, and that her sire of the foal also was really good to handle so the foal she is carrying should be a very good boy.Photobucket
she went into the stable with no problems.

ate a bit of hay (last bit I had left)

then I led her around her new home, so she knew where everything was - water trough, fences etc.

The Horse Float

Rob has been hard at work building me a horse float, it started in the garage, but when he put on the roof he had to cut out the rafters slightly!

Rob had to demolish the front of the garage door to get the float out, but the float is now outside and Rob is putting the panels on the outside and the floor is going in.

I hope its finished soon!

Happy New Year

well I have been in NZ for 2 new years now, and I have to confess that I have picked up a few Kiwi habits!Yup......... I have been out shopping in bare feet! - yes even in Invercargill they go barefoot - I don't think I would walk barefoot in winter though! LOL

I did put my shoes on when I got home though - cause I have hard stones on the drive.

But then as a child I never wore shoes much in South Africa, so I felt quite at home in barefeet!

Have a Happy 2008 to all my family & friends
